Mixtape Review--Roscoe--Philaphornia 2: The Philly Fanatic

roscoe Pictures, Images and Photos

Roscoes' Philaphornia 2: The Philly Fanatic Mixtape is really solid and it does in fact pick up after his 2003 "Philaphornia" debut. It actually takes you back to that g-funk sound made popular by the West Coast in the early to mid 90s. His flow is always on point, and i'm sure this would normally be an album but the state of the industry has it be a mixtape.
Standout Tracks: #2 I'm from the Dogg Pound ft Eazy-E
#3 Nothin' But A Gangsta Party pt. 2
#15 Ready 4 War feat. Bad Azz and Kurupt
#6 Got Swag (My personal favorite)

I'm really fond of this mixtape because he's doing him. This is an era where everybody want to sound like Drake, Jay-Z, or Lil Wayne, if he keeps pushing he definintely has the talent to be in the new wave of West Coast artists getting notoriety, even though he really isn't a new West Coast artist.
